The answer to this question is, it depends. Most often the goal for rehabilitation exercises is to be utilized as a springboard to get you back into normal activities or as a progression to more challenging exercises to build strength. That being said, you should not be doing clamshells 3 months into your knee rehab and if that is the case it is time to upgrade your care. Progressions with any rehabilitation should be offered, as there are hundreds of options for different movements that can accomplish the same goals.
Our bodies are meant to move and sometimes the smallest titrations of movement can make monumental changes in our body. Rehabilitation exercises might be the linchpin to keeping your body moving optimally and away from strain. If you need help getting started, organized, and don't know where to start- let's work together. I love this stuff! Below you will find my 3 favorite movements I perform after a long day of flying.
